Steam Turbine Center of ExcellenceThis Team is committed to the continual development of cutting-edge steam turbine technology with the primary goal of offering the widest range of world-class power generation products that contribute to GE-IQ's customer success.
The GE IQ Steam Turbine team supports Engineering analysis, short cycle flowparts, detailed drafting, Automation / Turbine Design System Support, Master Scheduling and Customer Engineering.
Generators & Controls SystemsThe Generator team does requisition engineering for New units and it provides Services in the installation of equipment according to the customer's requirements, participating from feasibility studies all the way to field support on the customer's site. Regarding controls, this team is responsible for starting up the units according to the customer's requirements, based on control logic to increase the reliability of each machine.
GAS, PASE & WIND
This team was created in 2005 as part of the Energy business; it is divided in three groups, GAS, PASE & WIND. Some of these groups' activities include the harmonization, drafting and modeling of Compressor, Combustion & Turbine sections. Engineering and Drafting for accessories for the Gas & Steam Turbines and Generator also provides Cost Out and Cost & Cycle Engineering, as well as drafting work for WIND turbine components.
Integrated Gasification Combined CycleThe Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) team develops cutting edge gasification systems so that power plants can convert coal into a high-value, cleaner burning fuel as opposed to burning coal.
The process cuts key pollutants in half, making the use of coal for power significantly cleaner. Plus, the process uses less water than a conventional coal power plant and reduces mercury emissions, making "Cleaner Coal" even cleaner.
